The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) as a knowledge partner is collaborating with IFAT India, Messe München India and Agilent Technologies for a digital event to keep the stakeholders updated on novel and promising wastewater treatment technologies and methods of water and wastewater testing. The event is scheduled for July 28, 2021 from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM (IST).

Wastewater management is key to achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) including SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Modern day challenges in wastewater treatment and reuse require novel approaches and promising technologies for wastewater treatment and sustainable wastewater management. Also with the ongoing pandemic, it also becomes important to adopt newer tools to track the spread of COVID-19.

In this regard, the webinar will showcase the following technologies:

  • TERI's Advanced Oxidation Technology (TADOX) as an integrated approach with existing systems for compliance with Zero-Liquid discharge norms for recycling and reuse, and
  • Wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) for tracking of the COVID-19 virus through wastewater surveillance of RNA.
