Assam Government partners with TERI for Advantage Assam 2.0 – Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has been appointed the official knowledge partner by the Assam Government for the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit, which is the largest investment promotion and facilitation initiative by the Government of Assam, highlighting the state’s geostrategic advantages and its potential as a major investment destination. Assam is strategically located in the northeastern region of India, serving as a gateway to Northeast India and Southeast Asia. The state is renowned for its lush tea gardens and petroleum resources and is now diversifying into sectors such as agriculture, food processing, handicrafts, tourism and information technology.

The Summit will showcase Assam’s manufacturing prowess and opportunities in export-oriented manufacturing and services to growing economies, particularly ASEAN and BBN countries. The Summit also promises to be a major platform for G2B and B2B meetings, displaying the state’s investment opportunities. The Advantage Assam Summit 2025 presents a significant opportunity for businesses to explore trade and investment prospects in Assam, particularly in key sectors such as infrastructure and connectivity, energy, digital economy, IT, defense, etc.

Under the Government’s flagship initiative of the Global Green Gathering, TERI shall host two knowledge sessions themed (i) Green Livelihoods/Jobs (Agriculture and Industry) and Adaptation and (ii) Climate Resilient Water Management and Tales from the Brahmaputra.

TERI has also been allocated an Exhibition Booth at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit, where it will showcase innovative technology solutions across key sustainability domains. As a leading research organization dedicated to sustainable development, TERI aims to highlight its expertise across energy, social transformation and strategic alliance, sustainable agriculture, sustainable infrastructure and waste, water and natural resources themes.

At its exhibition booth, TERI will present cutting-edge advancements in clean energy solutions, climate-resilient infrastructure, and sustainable farming practices. The institute’s work in waste, water and natural resource management will also be a key focus, demonstrating integrated approaches for efficient resource utilization.
