DROP Integrated Watershed Development Project

This integrated watershed development project is proposed to be implemented in Joshu- Bhakru village of Semaltagad Micro-Watershed in Dehradun, Uttaranchal. The project aims to transform the target community into a model village as a replicable example of sustainable rural development. It will ensure long term availability of water resources for the rural community through interventions aimed at a catchment level rainwater harvesting and rejuvenation of traditional water harvesting systems.Mainstreaming of thermal gasifier systems

The objective is to promote thermal gasifier technology in select clusters of namkeen- and koya-making industries and customizing the product to suit the selected application. The activities will be sustained by the selection of suitable LSPs (local service providers). With due capacity-building, the manufacturer and LSP would able to promote the market and take care of operation and maintenance. Ltd, is affecting the water sources of the people of Pudussery Panchayat. The study had the following three specific objectives:(a) whether groundwater extraction by M/s PepsiCo India Holdings Ltd. is depleting the water resources of the Pudussery Panchayat;
(b) whether there is a deterioration in the quality of groundwater due to PepsiCo¿s operations; and
