Energy audit of Coke Oven Plant and Water Pumping Station of DPL

The main objectives of the project are to examine the present level of energy consumption of the plant and equipment, to identify the energy saving potentials, and to suggest ways and means to improve the energy efficiency to have a signifcant effect on the economic performance of the plant through the reduction in variable costs.

The project is intended to carry out energy audit of the Southern Generating Station of CESC, Kolkata with the following objectives:- To carry out a detailed performance evaluation of major auxiliaries in the power plant (as defined under scope of work) with a view to identify thrust areas for energy conservation.
- To quantify the extent of energy savings/performance improvement that can be achieved.
- To recommend various technically sound and economically viable measures to improve the end-use energy efficiency.
BBMB’s Biodiesel Initiative: Establishing high quality Jatropha plantations at Talwara, Punjab

The major objectives of the project are plantation of Jatropha curcas in 300 ha area at Talwara, Punjab for biodiesel production, improve fertility and productivity of the degraded and fallow land, generate employment for the local community, capacity building of BBMB staff on various aspects of Jatropha cultivation, nursery establishment of Jatropha curcas at the plantation site.Green Raing for Police training Institute at Tasgaon

The project will study Japanese energy consumption statistic survey system as a reference case and possibilities of introducing the same in India. It will also interact with BEE focussing on the e-filing system for collection of energy consumption details of the designated consumers.The project will also focus on cement, pulp and paper and aluminium sectors for assessing the energy conservation opportunities and identifying areas of colleaboration between India and Japan.
