The study aims at providing consultancy for connecting additional washing units to the existing 30 MLD (million litres per day) combined effluent treatment plant at Bithuja. The scope of work includes:
preparation of feasibility report,
preparation of tender documents for pumping station and wastewater conveyance system,
evaluation of tenders and selection of contractors for pumping station and wastewater conveyance system,
approval of drawings submitted by the contractor,
supervision during the construction (as and when required).

The project is intended to implement CDM capacity building programme in India under the Clean Development Programme of IGES for CDM in selected Asian Countries. The project comprises of three main components with the different sub-components listed below: 1. Identifying promising CDM project activities and CDM developers 2. Conducting cosultation meetings with project developers 3. Assisting development of PDD for realization of CDM projects.
August 1, 2008 to

This project, phase-2 of the study (FY 2008-09), would build on the results of the Phase-1. The study is expected to deepen the understanding of energy conservation opportunities in some of the sectors covered in Phase-1 as well as initiate research in some of the important industrial sectors not covered during Phase-1 of the study. The outcome of Phase-2 study would be useful in formulating long-term future collaborative projects between the two countries (India and Japan) in the field of energy conservation.
