The proposed training centre and hostel facility of DMRC at Shastri Park is being designed as a green building. Follwoing aspects of a green building would be integrated in the design:

optimised building envelope
Optimised building system design
Integrated renewable energy resources
water and waste management
Use of ecologically sustainable building materials
Comfortable indoor quality would be maintained.

Ministry of health and family welfare had shown interest to make their proposed buildings green and TERI is giving consultancy in the form of design cherrate. Cherrate will be conducted in six weeks on each Thursday and Friday, in which TERI team and the project consultant will sit together and do the analysis. The results will be submitted in the form of recommendations and instead of report form.
