The radio series was produced with the support of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, with the aim of improving women and child health. The year-long radio programme series broadcast 30-minute episodes daily comprising of 15 minutes of radio dramas or interviews, and 15 minutes of phone-ins. An important part of the phone-ins was providing solutions to health-related problems while maintaining listener anonymity.

The series also took the help of Asha and Aanganwadi workers and Self Help Group (SHG) members to sensitise women on issues ranging from family planning, sexual health, pregnancy, childbirth, anaemia, food and nutrition, to arthritis, asthma, cancer, dental issues, depression, diabetes, heart problems, blood pressure, migraine, skin problems, thyroid, malaria etc. The programme also included organisation of workshops, quizzes and health camps in its ambit.
