Trade and Environment
Under this project a technical cell on Trade and Environment- related issues was set up in TERI in 2002 with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, to undertake research on the trade and environment interface in light of the current WTO negotiations.
This WTO research programme brought together a multidisciplinary team of research professionals that provided inputs to the preparatory processes and policy statements of the government in respect of developments in the WTO, especially those relating to trade and environment. This phase of the programme incorporate two studies:
1) Environmental goods and services - tariff reduction negotiations
2)Trade and Technology Transfer-Negotiating Options for India in WTO
