Support for the preparation of State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC)

Following the release of India¿s National Action Plan on Climate Change in June 2008, the State Governments are in the process of preparing their State Action Plans on Climate Change (SAPCC). The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is assisting the Government of Rajasthan for the preparation of the Rajasthan State Action Plan on Climate Change with support from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). Climate change being a cross-cutting issue will require coordinated action by different stakeholders, across sectors and scales for initiation and implementation of relevant research and policy action in the state. In this regard, the SAPCC is an important step towards initiating targeted action in response to climate change in the state.
