Rice husk based power generation study in the state of Punjab
The State of Punjab is a key producer of paddy and is one of the large contributors to the stock of rice in the country. Government agencies procure paddy from the farmers through commission agents. One of such state procurement agencies of the Government of Punjab, which is involved in bulk procurement of wheat and paddy in the state, wants to explore the possibiliity of developing biomass-based power plants, specifically by using the rice-husk as the fuel, through public-private partnerships.
