Dialogues on Environmental Governance in the Context of Sustainable Development: The Case of Coastal and Marine Ecosystems

TERI in association with KAS proposes to organize the third in a series of five dialogues on environmental governance for sustainable development focused on different ecosystems of the country. This dialogue will consider the case of the coastal and marine ecosystems and focus on the Indian coastal region and islands. The dialogue will take place at Goa during 5-7 April, 2013. The main objectives of this dialogue are (i) to highlight the specific environmental issues and challenges in different regions; and (ii) to bring out the diversity in perceptions of issues and solutions to underscore that a diverse set of viewpoints needs to be valued and incorporated in the environmental governance framework for the country.
