Development of building regulations and guidelines to achieve energy efficiency in Bangalore city

City of Bangalore, India faces an enormous challenge to meet its ever growing demand of energy and water and to manage its ever increasing waste which is polluting the storm water drains and lakes in the city.In the city of Bangalore there is a need to frame policies, regulations, guidelines, and develop financing instruments to achieve environment friendly, energy efficient buildings. The regulations need to be evolved to cover all aspects of sustainability and environment issues which are:o Energy Managemento Water Managemento Waste Managemento Building materials o Pollution issueso Occupant comfort inside buildingso Other issues of local importance.In this proposed project, support from REEEP will be very helpful to frame policies and regulations under Energy Management section for the city of Bangalore.
