Air and Water Quality Status Report of Maharahstra

The center prepares annual air and water quality status reports for the state of Maharashtra, a project being sponsored by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB). MPCB regularly monitors the qualitative state of the water resources across the state as well as the air quality across various locations in the state. TERI has been preparing these status reports by statistically compiling and analysing the secondary data received from MPCB whilst developing graphical and spatial illustrations. These comprehensive reports help provide an overview of the status of pollutants in one glance and help develop strategies for reducing pollution levels. Further, these reports highlight the trend of air and water quality by calculating air and water quality indexes to effectively communicate the information to a wide range of stakeholders.
