Glasgow Climate Conference: Did climate win?

23 Nov 2021

The Glasgow Climate Pact has been reached after much struggle. The host UK may like to pat themselves on the back for some of its successes but it appears that it missed a large number of opportunities. Technology was a critical missing piece especially given the need to reduce emissions at a fast pace in the current decade. Innovation in new technologies like green hydrogen for energy generation and storage are key to low emission growth. The CoP should have actively promoted and financed global technology platforms of this nature at Glasgow.
