TERI Library services encompass a diverse range of offerings designed to meet the informational and educational need of the researchers. These services often include access to physical and digital collections spanning books, periodicals, multimedia resources, and specialized reports/data. TERI Library also provides assistance with research, reference inquiries, and empowering users to navigate and evaluate information effectively. Additionally, TERI Library also offers resources such as computer workstations, and internet access to its library members.

Membership
Membership is open to researchers, staff of non-governmental organizations, government officials, and employees of corporate bodies, students, teachers, consultants, and policy-makers in the area of energy, environment, and sustainable development. Application forms are available at the library help desk and can also be downloaded from the web site. A proof of identity is required while submitting the completed form
Facilities and Rules
- Library resources are available for reference.
- Inter-library loans are allowed
- Borrowing of resources is not allowed
- Photocopying facility can be availed at a nominal fee (as per TERI rules)
- Members must carry the membership card whenever they visit the Library
- Members will not be allowed to use the library in the absence of membership card
- The membership card is not transferable
- Members will be held responsible for the misuse of the membership card, which will lead to its cancellation
- Loss of the membership card should be reported immediately either by phone, fax, or e-mail
- Mutilation of books is strictly prohibited
- Working hours: 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (Monday – Friday)
- The library may amend its rule as and when required.

TERI's library collection comprises over 2000 books, 20 current journals, and databases (DistrictofIndia.com, IndiaStat.com, JSTOR etc.).

Energy, Environment, Sustainable Development, Forestry, and Related Areas.
4. How can I access TERI's library collection?
The library catalogue and list of journals can be accessed online. Queries and photocopying requests can also be made online at the information desk. For accessing the books, however, one needs to be a member of the library. The library does not issue out journals to its members.
5. Who is eligible for membership?
Membership of TERI Library is open to bona fide users worldwide from research institutions, non-governmental organizations, government and corporate bodies, and for students, researchers, faculty of educational institutions, consultants, and policy-makers.
6. What are the membership fees?
There are no membership fees for bona fide users.
7. How do I obtain membership?
You have to visit the library for obtaining membership and submit your application form along with proof of your identity.
8. What are the library's working hours?
For visitors and members: Monday to Friday: 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. For TERI staff and TERI University students and its faculty: Monday to Friday: 9.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.; Saturday: 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. The library is closed on all holidays that TERI observes.
9. Can I obtain photocopies without actually visiting the library?
Yes. One can make a request by post, fax or e-mail giving complete details of the document required. The material will be sent at a nominal charge.
10. How are the library's holdings arranged?
Books on the shelves are arranged according to the UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) number scheme. Journals are arranged in alphabetical order.
11. Can I read a book that belongs to me in the reading room?
No. You cannot bring in books other than those belonging to the library/reading room.
12. How can I reach and contact library?
TERI’s KRC (Knowledge Resource Centre) is within the IHC (India Habitat Centre) complex located at the intersection of Lodhi Road and Max Mueller Marg. The Complex is a centre of cultural and intellectual activities in New Delhi. KRC is on the third floor of the Library Block of IHC.
