Solar power based affordable cooking and lighting solutions have changed the lives of many people under the Lighting a Billion Lives programme. Since its official launch in 2008 by Honourable former Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, the campaign has impacted more than 3.5 million lives and counting.
