The objective of the workshop is to disseminate the key findings of a national report titled 'Unlocking Opportunities for Forest Dependent People in India', prepared by the World Bank. The report outlines enabling factors for a more efficient community-based management of forests.
Heinz India Private Limited entrusted TERI for a comprehensive energy audit of different areas/equipments in their plant located at Aligarh (U.P). The main objectives of the project are: a. To carry out a detailed evaluation of various equipment (as defined under scope of the work) with a view to identify thrust areas for energy conservation.
TERI is a partner of the CRC (Centre on Regulation and Competition), Institute for Development Policy and Management at the University of Manchester, UK.
The Ministry of Environment and Forests and the Orissa Forest Department in association with TERI and DfID has organized a two-day workshop on Unlocking Opportunities for Forest Dependent People at Bhubaneswar from April 11-12, 2006.
The objectives of this project include 1. To develop portfolios of policy options that could provide the basis of a post-2012 climate governance architecture 2.
Doon school (Dehradun) wants their campus to be a model for green concepts. Art complex and Master's residence of the school will be rated for TERI-GRIHA and guidelines for future new buildings and existing heritage buildings will be framed based on the analysis carried out for Art complex and Master's residence.
Gujarat Water Regulatory Commission Bill 2006 is been re-drafted by TERI for Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB). The earlier bill, prepared and submitted by TERI was discussed and the recommendations of the high- powered committee of the Gujarat Government, and other comments are being now incorporated in the new Gujarat Water Regulatory Commission Bill 2006.
