The objective of this project is to advance the emerging concept of adaptive policy-making and thereby contribute to building the adaptive capacity and resilience of communities to climate change.
This study will primarily focus on the current scenario on biofuel development in India and assessment of the biofuel potential at the national level based on the economics and availability of resources. Four field visits and six desk studies will be carried out in order to get a better understanding of the field realities, issues, and challenges related to biofuels development.
Collection and identification of native isolates of entomopathogenic nematode (EPN) and arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi. Selection of EPN isolates based on cruising ability and study the interactive development of AM fungi in presence of EPN. Study the variation in development and progeny production of root knot nematode in the presence of EPN and AM fungi on tomato.
The objective is to prepare a document containing integrated master plan for electrification of the entire off-grid islands of Sundarbans. The project aims at finding the most suitable options for rural electrification in the remote islands of Sundarbans.
The objective of the project is to demonstrate and disseminate biomass gasifiers that encourage the use of these systems and energy services in the PoP-making industries. Based on the nature of this sector, it is envisaged that biomass gasifiers will be immediately promoted and installed with a joint financial mechanism (support from WISIONS, subsidy from government, and contribution from users).

The project largely focuses on developing action plans for regeneration of mine-degraded areas. In the first phase of the project, through experiments, interventions in agriculture and forestry aspects, mainly to choose the best crop or forestry species combination to replicate at a larger scale will be attempted.
The project aimed to address the problem of solid waste disposal by developing a SWM plan for the community of Annasandrapalya in eastern Bangalore and subsequently implementing this plan. This locality lies adjacent to a lake, which is being adversely affected by the indiscriminate disposal of garbage in and around it.
The objective is to assist the Arunachal University in preparing the State Development Report for the state. The study has been commissioned by the Planning Commission. TERI is involved in preparing the chapters of the following sectors: power, transport and communications, and environment.
