The project involves identification of different energy saving and renewable energy options and preparation of an integrated action/implementation plan in consultation with the stakeholders; for developing Gandhinagar as a Solar City.
The objective of the project is to find out the impact on the various strata of the economy in terms of public, private and community sector with regard to liberalization in tourism and health sector.
Within overall ambit of UNEP's endeavour of establishing an Environment Knowledge Hub for the region, TERI is developing a package of the knowledge related to the energy aspects in South Asia sub-region, based on existing information/databases.
The Youth Conference aims: ü to orient youth to Water Management ü to identify the role of youth, their scientific awareness and capacity for informed decision making in achieving this ü to enhance their skills to achieve the same.
This study attempts to forecast peak and off-peak load demand in the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Ltd. service area for the three seasons, summer, autumn and winter, of next 15 years. In addition to it the study will also capture the substation wise / geographic area wise peak and off-peak load forecast for the same three seasons of next 5 years.
TERI organised a south-south collaborative study tour for officials from Maldives on exploring technology options for climate change mitigation and adaptation.
The first Workshop on Digital Libraries was organized during 31 October - 3 November 2006; and the second one during 10-13 April 2007, by TERI with support from Technology Information Facilitation Programme of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.
TERI has been working on development and promotion of biomass gasifier systems for thermal as well as for power generation. Under the thermal gasifier component focus is on developing, promotion and dissemination of thermal gasifiers as cleaner technologies in small and micro enterprise (SMiE) sector.
The objective of the capacity building program is to train existing/potential franchisees in the rural electricity distribution business under RGGVY program launched by Ministry of Power
