Workshop on 'Advance approaches for Bio-waste and waste water treatment'

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Embassy of Italy jointly organized a two day workshop on "Advance approaches for Biowaste and Wastewater Treatment (BWT)" on 9-10 December 2014 at Casuarina Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

This workshop focused on the use of advanced biological technologies for organic waste treatment. The advances in anaerobic biological treatment hold promise in Indian context as there are still huge gaps between sewage generation and available treatment capacity which is a major cause of pollution of water bodies in the country. The two day workshop deliberated with renowned Italian experts both in academia and industry to provide knowledge platform and learning for Indian counterparts.
