Long Term Strategy on Adaptation and Adaptation Readiness in India

The session will focus on India’s long term adaptation targets along with adaptation readiness. The session will centre around pertinent issues related to synergies between adaptation and disaster risk resilient infrastructure in the years to come. Considering the magnitude of the issue and the number of vulnerable at the grassroot level, the session will also shed light on the innovative solutions on the strengthening adaptation readiness in the country. Lastly, one of the major talking points of this year’s COP is to mobilize private finance for climate action which is grey area for adaptation in India and the session will aim to address this issue through engagement of speakers from the private sector.
