India – Japan Deeptech Innovation & Clean Energy Seminar on 20th July, 2023

TERI in association with NEDO, JETRO and FICCI is co-hosting the India – Japan Deeptech Innovation & Clean Energy Seminar on 20th July, 2023.
The objective of the seminar is to enhance partnerships between India and Japanese businesses, covering areas of deeptech innovation and clean energy, and especially focusing on topics of green hydrogen, green ammonia, clean mobility, digital innovation and semiconductors. The seminar will witness H.E. Mr. Yasutoshi Nishimura, Hon’ble Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan and Shri Suman K Bery, Hon’ble Vice Chairperson, NITI Aayog, grace the event with their special ministerial address to the audience.
At the seminar, TERI in association with NEDO will host two panel discussions on: i) India – Japan Cooperation on Green Hydrogen mission, and ii) Various Mobilities Contributing to Carbon Neutrality”.
The ‘India-Japan Cooperation on Green Hydrogen Mission’ will focus on opportunity areas for collaboration between India and Japan, focusing on the trends emerging across the entire spectrum of green hydrogen value chain from production to the supply side. Further, the session will also focus on challenges in developing a green-hydrogen based economy, and how collaboration between India and Japan can help overcome the barriers.
The session on ‘Various Mobilities Contributing to Carbon Neutrality’ will discuss India and Japan’s shared goals on decarbonising the road transport sector, and transitioning the sector towards clean mobility. Policies on uptake of zero-emission vehicles and, production and promotion of bio-fuels will be some of the core topics of discussion at the panel.
