The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in partnership with The Australian Government, brings to you Project ‘Hack4Agri’- an initiative to engage the youth of Karnataka to ideate, innovate, incubate, and implement scalable solutions to address post-harvest losses in the agricultural sector. The Project aims to provide a platform for innovation, thereby enhancing youth skill sets in problem-solving, critical thinking, technology adaptation, and solution-based approaches. These skills are essential for fostering a sustainable agricultural ecosystem.

Programme Structure and Timeline: The programme is organized under four broad sections in a linear relationship.

Task: College Teams need to share their ‘Hacks’ and detail how they are addressing the issue of post-harvest agricultural waste. Application from teams comprising 3 students and 1 faculty is sought.

Please note: All submissions should be original thought processes that elicit a positive opinion and drive transformative impact in society.

Theme: Solutions to Post Harvest Agricultural Waste

Who can participate: Students in the age group of 18-23 years from colleges and institutes of higher learning in Karnataka.

Awards and Incentives:

  • Cash Prizes for winners
  • Certificates -Participation and Merit
  • Knowledge enhancement through technical sessions
  • Network with relevant stakeholders from the agricultural ecosystem

Besides these, applicants will get an opportunity to attend workshops that will strengthen their hacks and will be provided support and guidance from experts. In order to amplify the success of the programme as well as inspire and motivate youth, A booklet and video, documenting the journey of hacks and its potential impacts to address the prevailing problems of the agricultural sector will be undertaken. The 5 best shortlisted Hacks will also be promoted on TERI's website and social media accounts.
