India has enhanced its climate ambition under its updated Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) (2031–2035), committing to 47% reduction in emissions intensity of GDP and 60% installed power capacity from non-fossil sources by 2035. With a target to create an additional 3.5–4.0 billion tonnes CO₂ equivalent carbon sink, these efforts advance SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action), aligned with India’s net-zero goal by 2070.
