The office building of MTNL is located in Malad. It is designed as a green building and incorporates various features like tree preservation, deployment of PV panels, laobur health and safety on site during construction, use of fly ash bricks and conservation of water. The project is targeting a 3 star rating under GRIHA.
Indian sugar industry: unpredictable risks and risk mitigation alternatives

The objectives of this project are: (1) to carry out an analysis of price trend in sugar across states in India; (2) to analyze the systematic and unsystematic risk in sugar prices in India linking it with the global context; (4) to analyse the risks which are unpredictable (unsystematic risk) in sugar industry followed by an analysis of the trend movement in such risks in India and in global context; (5) to analyse the factors behind such unsystematic risks in case of sugarcane in India; (6) to explore what are the policy linkages between the unsystematic risks and the existing policies in thCreation of energy scenario in the future to improve air quality in East and South Asia

TERI has been working with Toyota Motor Corporation for carrying out collaborative research in the field of air quality management. The previous project was an international collaborative project, supported by Toyota Motor Corporation, that focused on the needs to achieve economic growth by meeting the energy needs while ensuring at the same time that environmental issues such as ozone pollution are adequately addressed. The other partners in the project were Toyota Central Research and Development Laboratories, Japan, Tsinghua University China, and IIASA, Austria.

The main objectives of this phase are:(1) Design and testing of a low cost wood cutter, which can be used by women easily for fuel processing without being dependent on their male counterparts;
(2) Qualitative and quantitative assessment of the usage pattern of fuel and corresponding kitchen air BC concentration capturing seasonal variation in select village households;
(3) Research and development of biofuel (pellets) out of unused biomass (lying in agricultural field or domestic biomass litter burnt causing emission);
Carbon Governance at Sub-national Level in India

The project aims to conduct a study on carbon governance at sub-national level in India conducive to measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission reduction by urban planning in relevant sector. The current status of climate change adaptation is characterized by ad-hoc decision-making mechanisms without a means to measure the progress in adaptive capacity of people and systems udner question. In order to facilitate planned adaptation, this research aims to (i) identify a set of metrices to measure the effectiveness of adaptation options; and (ii) develop an integrated decision-making framework that helps various stakeholders to take adaptation decisions in the agriculture sector in the Gangetic basin.

The objective of the proposed project is to strengthen the access to BDS (Business Development Services) of SMEs in Rajkot and Mohali-Panchkula-Chandigarh clusters by designing and implementing strategiesto:- Develop the market for BDS
