The project aims at instilling good waste management practices among the students and teachers and through them to the larger community. In this project we strive to ensure that the schools are involved in garbage collection and send it for recycling to the identified recycling units. The phase I of the project was implemented in Delhi and Bangalore with 30 schools each in both the cities. In phase II, we are focussing on 100 schools from Mumbai, Chandigarh, Delhi and Bangalore.

Renewable Energy resource and potential assessment data presently available is not very user friendly. The data currently available is voluminous and very scattered. Moreover the assessment of the potential of a renewable energy resource is dependent on many factors apart from the resource availability itself and may not be accounted for. Apart from renewable energy resource other factors which play an important role are - land use and land cover, availability of water, transmission and distribution network, load centres, demographic information, and industrial clusters.
