Lighting a Billion Lives in service of Biodiversity Conservation

LaBL is reaching national parks and wildlife sanctuaries across the country to strengthen the existing institutions for biodiversity conservation. Solar charging stations provide sufficient incentive to village communities residing around these nature reserves to work in accord with the forest departments as well as local NGOs working towards conservation.

Indigenous ceramic membranes for degumming and solvent recovery

The objective of this study is to prepare, characterize and test low cost ceramic ultrafiltration (UF) and nanofiltration (NF) membranes for vegetable oil refining application. The ceramic membranes will be based on biomass fly ash macroporous supports (that have already been developed by TERI).

Rajasthan: Towards sustainable livelihood
