Green public procurement (GPP) is a component of sustainable public procurement that uses public sector purchasing to achieve environmental policy objectives and for green growth. GPP is a process which involves consciously and systematically factoring environmental goals during the procurement of goods, services and works by public agencies. This conscious and systematic factoring involves the use of technical specifications, evaluation of bids and proposals, standards, certifications, and labelling.

Mushroom and Azolla Cultivation Training for Empowering Marginalized Tribal Communities in Mokhada
To address the persistent malnutrition and livelihood challenges in the ST communities of Mokhada, two training sessions on Oyster Mushroom and Azolla cultivation were organized as part of the DST-funded project "Innovative Interventions in Mokhada Block of Palghar District to Combat Malnutrition and Enhance Livelihoods of ST Communities." Held on March 3rd and 4th, 2025, at Burangewadi and Pawarpada respectively, the workshops were led by Mr. Manish Asodekar and Dr.

Organizations striving for sustainability and net-zero goals should conduct a greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory. This inventory includes Scope 1 (direct) and Scope 2 (indirect) emissions, which the organization controls and purchases energy, respectively. Additionally, Scope 3 emissions covers indirect emissions throughout the value chain, usually accounting for more than 50% of a company’s emissions. A comprehensive GHG inventory helps identify emission sources and enables organizations to prioritize reduction strategies.

The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) has imposed environmental compensation for 185 brick kiln units located in Thadagam region of Coimbatore district for causing damage to the environment. Subsequently, aggrieved by the same the Brick Kiln units filed writ petitions against the Board's proceeding before the Hon'ble High Court of Madras.
