Training programme on Carbon Finance and Trading

The objective of this training programme is to provide the Indian corporate houses with an understanding of the future opportunities and issues that shall be affecting the carbon finance and trading. The Environmental Kuznets'''''''' Curve (EKC) hypothesis envisages an "inverted U-shaped" relation between various indicators of environmental pollution or resource depletion and the level of economic growth. The implied inverted-U relationship between environmental degradation and economic growth came to be known as the EKC by analogy with the growth- income inequality relationship postulated by Kuznets (1965, 1966) .

Films on Energy Efficiency for IREDA

Production of documentary films of 30 minutes each focussing on the energy efficiency pratices in the Glass and ceramic and cement sector. These films will be made for IREDA. The target audience is potential investors, industry people and other stakeholders.

Asia Regional Renewable Energy Knowledge Hub

Advisory services for energy efficiency in the proposed training institute, DMRC

The proposed training centre and hostel facility of DMRC at Shastri Park is being designed as a green building. Follwoing aspects of a green building would be integrated in the design:
Site planning
optimised building envelope
Optimised building system design
Integrated renewable energy resources
water and waste management
Use of ecologically sustainable building materials
Comfortable indoor quality would be maintained.

Design cherrate for six buildings of MoHFW

Ministry of health and family welfare had shown interest to make their proposed buildings green and TERI is giving consultancy in the form of design cherrate. Cherrate will be conducted in six weeks on each Thursday and Friday, in which TERI team and the project consultant will sit together and do the analysis. The results will be submitted in the form of recommendations and instead of report form.

Research for energy conservation in India: Phase 1

The Institute of Energy Economics, Japan or IEEJ and TERI have entered into an agreement to cooperate on the energy efficiency improvements in India by undertaking joint research projects. Some of the areas identified under the study include the industry sector and the thermal power plants. The activities would include analysing challenges facing India and Japan in the energy sector, undertaking measures to address the energy challenges, sharing experiences, and identifying areas of future cooperation.
