The overarching objective of this Assignment is to educate and train school-teachers and trainers in topics related to Environment and Environment-Management, in a manner that will enable them to teach this subject to the students better.It is proposed to address this by adopting the "Training of Trainers" (TOT) model. Training modules will be designed to equip Environment-Education (EE) teachers with resource material and skill-sets .
AHEC, IIT Roorke Laboratory Complex

TERI with the support from DBT has developed bio-pesticide "Bollcure" from Eucalyptus leaf extract. Active principles have been identified and the product has been successfully tested on small plot field trials by ICAR Centers on cotton and chickpea following standard field protocols. UNEP co-operates with TERI on extending lighting facilities to India under the Lighting a Billion Lives Campaign by way of Small Scale Funding Agreement. With support from small scale funding, lighting facilities will spread to atleast 10 villages/schools with the installation & commissioning of solar lantern charging stations, by working closely with LaBL Partner Organizations.
