The State of Punjab is a key producer of paddy and is one of the large contributors to the stock of rice in the country. Government agencies procure paddy from the farmers through commission agents.
The objective of this study is to prepare and characterize carbon membranes, assess their filtration performance and compare the performance with commercial products. The preparation of the carbon membrane involves coating a slurry of powdered activated carbon mixed with binder on biomass fly ash filter supports.
The training course is organised for the ITEC participants supported by the MEA for providing an understanding of the various aspects of climate change and its implication for sustainability.
Study I: To undertake cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analyses of different sanitation technological options in selected urban and rural areas in India;Study II: To undertake water quality analysis of drinking water sources in the study locations (urban and rural);
MNRE has shown interest in developing the detail GRIHA training manual for Trainers & Evaluators to guide them in thier respective role.
The study proposes to undertake a demonstration programme to create bio resource base for provision of sustainable fuel supply which in turn can be utilised in energy efficient technologies and services. The creation of bio resource based would be designed to provide employment opportunities under NREGA.
The main objective of this project is to promote deeper awareness about bioresources and to enthuse students about the role of biotechnology and their sutainable utilisation especially in the North-East region. Around 10,000 school students and 200 techers would be the direct beneficiaries from the government, public and private schools. The schools are in the ratio of 5:3:2 respectively.
Main activities under the project are:1) Literature review related to international activities of HPMP, 2) Develop an information exchange and outreach strategy in consultation with Ozone Cell,3) Identification of key elements, stakeholders, and messages,
The specific objectives of the project preparation support activity are: (1) To prepare cluster-specific reports for all the 12 clusters pre-selected by UNIDO.
