- Production of tissue culture quality planting material with inputs of biofertilisers and biopesticides etc. in the NE region - Settingup of quality farms for the identified products in each NE state - Strengthening of tissue culture infrastructure base and establishment of institutional linkages for effective implementation
The major objectives of the project are: 1.Develop suitable catalyst from red mud, an aluminium industry waste 2.Test the catalyst for hydrocarbon cracking / activation 3.Use the carbon deposited on catalyst as an adsorbent for removal of pollutants that are commonly present in water and wastewater (heavy metal, phenol, dyes etc.).
Under this project a Pyrolysis Test Unit(100kg/dayPTU) is developed. a patent has been filed on the design and operation of the Pyrolysis based Bioreactor. This Pilot Reactor is developed for production of liquid biofuel, a renewable substitute to fuel oil from selected biomass through pyrolysis route. The toxic oil seed wastes (e.g.
The main objectives of the project are:1/ Germplasm collection2. Isolation of FT and LFY orthologs from B. rapa, B.nigra and B juncea genomes3/ Molecular characterization of quanitfying the extent of homology at sequence level4/ Functional characterization of FT and LFY orthologs form Brassica sps.
The project envisages undertaking activities pertaining to the presentation of India?s Second National Communication (SNC) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The specific objectives of the project are:- Through biotrapping with plants, develop a method to produce microbiologically imporved compost for decreasing biotic and aboitic stress in plant production- Develop a method to test compost products for their disease suppressiveness mixture
The objective of the study is to analyse private sector participation in electricity generation through various technologies (traditional and advanced technologies, renewable energy technologies), with a specific focus on the impact of private participation on Green House Gases (GHG) emissions.
The study covers the evaluation of refrigeration & air conditioning and lighting systems of the retail stores. The results of the study would be useful to identify energy saving opportunities and would also help to target the areas for a detailed energy audit.
The project is being executed in Bilaspur and Kamrup districts of Himachal Pradesh and Assam respectively. It aims to provide quality planting material produced through conventional methods as well as through tissue culture, promote scientific method of cultivation, demonstrate on-farm production of biofertilizers and biopesticides, promote micro-entrepreneurship, etc.
Under this project TERI is organizing a five days training programs for ONGC titled "Financing Oil and Gas Sector". The training programme is organized for middle and senior level ONGC executives.
