TERI has extensively worked and collaborated with Haryana Forest Department for integrating the concept of participatory forest management. The programme over different phases of TERIs involvement has progressed from the project approach to process approach. In order to further strengthen the programme in Haryana, the following services are proposed:

Estimate short- and long-term (till 2020) demands for coal based on a combination of econometric techniques and process models along with a consumer perception survey covering such sectors as power, iron and steel, cement, fertilizer, aluminum, and brick.Estimate the imputed value of coal for notional power and cement plants at locations spread over the country to evaluate the competitiveness of Indian coal against alternative fuels
