ELEVATE- Enabling and leveraging climate Action Towards net zero Emissions

By 2025, countries are expected to produce new NDCs covering the post-2030 period, informed during the 2022-23 period by the 6th Assessment Report of the IPCC and the Paris Agreement Global Stocktake. Project results are anticipated to contribute to all of the following expected outcomes: Provision of information for the preparation of climate policies and national planning for the post-2030 period, in light of the Paris Agreement goals and the need to reduce global net greenhouse emissions to zero by 2050.

Process Monitoring under Rejuvenating Watersheds for Agricultural Resilience through Innovative Development (REWARD) Project

The Watershed Development Department (WDD) of Karnataka is implementing the REWARD project with financial assistance from the World Bank. Currently being piloted in the states of Karnataka and Odisha, the project focuses on promoting climate-smart agriculture to bolster rural resilience. Initiated in 2021–22 and slated to continue through 2026–27, the initiative provides comprehensive solutions to farmers through scientific watershed development, encompassing production, processing, post-harvest management, and marketing.

Long term plastic flux monitoring and river assessment in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR)

While the usability of plastic in different spheres of the modern lifestyle such as automobiles, electronics and medical equipment cannot be done away completely, efforts to tackle plastic waste entering the marine environment are essential.

This calls for an assessment of the types and quantity of plastic waste entering water bodies which would also provide insights of consumer behavior with respect to plastic waste management.

CONCOR CSR Chair project on Environment Sustainability is a CSR based initiative to address the social and environmental issues for most vulnerable community in India and to provide sustainable solutions on the theme of environment sustainability. The project involved both research and implementation components. Primarily, the research component covered research on CSR, identification of the project area, designing, planning and implementation aspects of the project. The implementation component intended to strengthen the rural community in the identified district in State of Jharkhand.

GREEN Olympiad 2022

ENHANCING LIVELIHOODS OF FARMERS IN GUJARAT THROUGH AGROFORESTRY PLANTATIONS BY SHBVM

The project is an ARR-based agroforestry carbon finance initiative implemented across six districts of Gujarat to enhance tree cover, improve farm productivity, and support rural livelihoods. Given the state’s relatively low forest cover, the project promotes the integration of commercially viable tree species into existing agricultural and barren lands. Led by Shri Hari Bhujal Vikas Mandal (SHBVM), the initiative supports farmers through quality planting material and technical assistance, while enabling additional income through carbon credit generation.

Baseline Study for Non-Urban Road Transport

As part of the study, TERI aims to identify major carriers, develop a methodology for data collection and validation, and establish key requirements for implementing an efficiency improvement program in the future.

Rejuvenation of Jamuna Drinking Water Supply Storage Pond through Bioremediation, Golaghat

The rejuvenation of the Jamuna water storage pond in Golaghat demonstrates the effectiveness of ecological engineering in restoring degraded water bodies. Implemented by TERI in collaboration with stakeholders, the project transformed a eutrophic, weed-infested pond into a functional pre-treatment system for municipal water supply.
