TERI-ITEC International Training Programme on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (REEE)
The training is given to selected participants from ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation)/SCAAP (Special
Commonwealth African Assistance Programme) countries. The training aims to develop an understanding of the existing and emerging renewable energy technologies, and energy conservation and efficiency improving techniques. It covers basics of different sources and forms of energy, role of renewable energy, energy efficiency, solar thermal technology and its application, wind power, biomass gasifier based system development, small hydro technology, renewable energy policies, rural energy issues, overview of Indian energy scenario and demand side management.
