Designing Adaptation to Climate Change Responses for inclusion in IFAD's Project in Jhakhand

01 Aug 2011 10 Dec 2011
The project aims to analyse the positive and negative impacts of climate variability/change on the livelihoods of IFAD’s target groups, and propose robust adaptation measures, as well as, potential ways of benefiting from opportunities presented by climate change.
The study would also propose a framework for assessing endogenous adaptation responses for identifying potential improvements and a set of indicators for mapping resilience/adaptation to climate variability. In addition to this, the study wouls also present a methodology for assessing the coherence of the project level interventions with national climate change policies (missions) and qualitative and quantitative indicators for assessing project level contributions to national policy goals.
