Conducting water audit at selected railway stations of Northern Railway, New Delhi

The objectives of this project are to: (1) Develop a water balance for three selected stations through flow measurement and secondary data. Estimate the water demand and supply situation; (2) Study the water quality profile of different process through water quality monitoring and assessment; (3) Identify the losses/leakages/UFW within the water distribution system; (4) Suggest recommendations for efficient water management with regard to water reuse, recycle and conservation, as well as reduction in specific water consumption by the station; (5) Establish target benchmarks of water use and specific water consumption to optimize water use efficiency and suggest relevant interventions/recommendations.
