Ms Asha Hadkar is working as a Regional Coordinator for the Indian Coastal Region for the UNDP GEF Small Grants Program at TERI. She has over 18 years of experience in coastal and natural resource management issues. Her primary focus lies in coastal and marine resource management, where she has worked in biodiversity assessment, environmental monitoring, water quality evaluation, pollution tracking, aquaculture, and overall natural resource management.
Ms Hadkar has been deeply involved in the implementation of People’s Biodiversity Registers (PBRs) documentation in coastal villages, showcasing her commitment to community engagement and sustainable resource management practices and conducted impactful aquaculture demonstrations. Beyond her coastal endeavors, she has made substantial contributions to the monitoring and evaluation of Integrated Watershed Management programs in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
