• An integrated systems approach towards low carbon technology
development and deployment needs to be adopted, involving
various agencies, both at the national and local levels as well as
across thematic areas of energy and environment. Such a coherent
approach would also help avoid a wasteful proliferation and
duplication of initiatives across the various sub-sectors and enable
greater industry involvement
• Generic emerging technologies, such as nanotechnology, materials
technology, life sciences, etc., holding potential for low carbon
technology development and having cross-sectoral application
potential need to be promoted.
