 The 
                            library offers traditional as well as advanced services.    What are the library's 
                            current holdings of books/journals?
 TERI's library collection 
                            comprises over 25,000 books, 475 current journals 
                            and 1050 online periodicals, 11,054 bound volumes 
                            of journals.    What disciplines does 
                            the library's collection cover?
 Energy, 
                            environment, sustainable development, plant biotechnology, 
                            forestry, and related areas.    How can I access TERI's library 
                            collection? 
 The library catalogue 
                            and list of journals can be accessed online. Queries 
                            and photocopying requests can also be made online 
                            at information desk. For 
                            accessing the books, however, one needs to be a member 
                            of the library. The library does not issue out journals 
                            to its members.
    Who is eligible for membership?
 Membership 
                            of TERI Library is open to bona fide users worldwide 
                            from research institutions, non-governmental organizations, 
                            government and corporate bodies, and for students, 
                            researchers, faculty of educational institutions, 
                            consultants, and policy-makers.     What are the membership fees?
 There 
                            are no membership fees for bona fide users.    How do I obtain membership?
 You 
                            have to visit the library for obtaining membership 
                            or you can submit your application 
                            form. Proof of your identity is required.    What are the library's working 
                            hours?
 For 
                            visitors and members: Monday to Friday: 9.30 a.m. 
                            to 5.30 p.m. For TERI staff and TERI University students and its faculty: Monday 
                            to Friday: 9.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.; Saturday: 10.00 
                            a.m. to 2.00 p.m. The library is closed on all holidays 
                            that TERI observes.    Can I obtain photocopies 
                            without actually visiting the library?
 Yes. 
                            One can make a request by post, fax or e-mail giving 
                            complete details of the document required. The material 
                            will be sent at a nominal charge.    How are the library's holdings 
                            arranged?
 Books 
                            on the shelves are arranged according to the UDC (Universal 
                            Decimal Classification) number scheme. Journals are 
                            arranged in alphabetical order in pigeon holes.Library 
                            Holdings Location Map     Can I read a book that belongs 
                            to me in the reading room?
 No. 
                            You cannot bring in books other than those belonging
