Nanotechnology is analternative and efficient solution to address sustainable concerns across the globe. India has been making significant progress in developing nanomaterials for crop-health improvement crop protection, fortified food and feed products. Keeping in view the importance of nanobased products in agriculture and food, Department of Biotechnology along with sevral government agencies and stake holders have successfully developed and launched "Guidelines for evaluation of nano-based agri-input and food products in India". The purpose of the guideline is to provide impetus to regulatory agencies and industries to develop nano-based agri products to revolutionize the agriculture sector. The team members contributed towards development of the policy guidelines and the Project Coordinator (Dr Alok, TDNBC) is also one of the editor of this guideline.
