International seminar on 'Switching to sustainable intermediate public transport'
The Namma Auto Project Consortium is organising the first International Exchange Seminar on 'Switching to Sustainable Intermediate Public Transport' from 24 -25 April, 2018 Bangalore, India. This seminar is organized under the EU Switch Asia Project - Switching to Sustainable Auto-Rickshaw System funded by European Union. The event is convened as part of identification and exchange of best practices in Indian Public Transport sector. It emphasizes the value of environmentally, socially and economically sustainable urban transportation models and aids in sensitizing a wide group of stakeholders.
The Energy and Resources Institute's research on 'Best Practices for sustainable urban transport initiatives' and 'Estimation of carbon footprint for Bangalore' compiled as a publication shall be released during this event.
