Mr. Gagan Devaiah Kechira

Mr. Gagan Kechira is an engineer with a Masters in Electrical Engineering & Renewable Energy Systems from University of Leeds, UK.

Gagan has over 6 years of experience in the field of renewable energy and green buildings. He has been working at GRIHA Council for a year. Currently he is a Manager and looks after BD, Trainings and rating reviews for the Southern Zone. He has also been closely involved in the development of the GRIHA AH Rating.

Prior to joining GRIHA Council, he has worked as an Expert Consultant from the EU side in the PV Rooftop Cell set up at the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy where his role involved analysing and providing solutions to specific issues related to the implementation of Solar Rooftop programme in the country. He has represented the Ministry at various State level workshops and conferences. As a Project Engineer – Buildings Programme at the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, he provided assistance in the promotion and implementation of energy efficiency programmes in buildings including “Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) and the programme of energy efficiency in existing buildings”.
