Development of double zero varieties of B. juncea and B. napus

Objectives: (1) Standardization of GC (gas chromatograph) and HPLC (high performance liquid chromatograph) based analytical methods for quantitative estimation of fatty acids and glucosinolates. (2) Transfer zero erucic acid and low glucosinolate characteristics in Indian B. juncea and B. napus from exotic sources to obtain double low lines of B. juncea and B. napus.
