Mr Santosh Kumar Muriki is engaged with the Earth Science and Climate Change Division of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) as an Associate Fellow. He is also the Area Convener of the Centre of Climate Modelling.
With over 11 years of experience in atmospheric sciences, meteorology, climate science and modelling, and climate risk, Mr Muriki has been associated with TERI since 2014. Presently, his work at the organisation revolves generating extreme climate profile for India, improving model efficacy to minimize uncertainty in forecasting, high resolution climate knowledge generation, AI/ML application in Climate research, Indian Summer Monsoon Variability under warming climate, and multi sectoral climate analysis.
An expert in assessing climate extremes and variability, Mr Muriki is also extremely adept at working on climate risk profiles and hazards for various sectors, combining climate risk studies to various developmental challenges.
Mr Muriki holds a M.Tech in Atmospheric Science from the University of Pune and Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology and an M.Sc in Geospatial Science and Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
