#75ReelsforCelebratingIndia- A Youth Engagement Program to Celebrate Positivity and Patriotism to Promote Culture

To honour 75 years of India's independence as well as the illustrious history of its people, culture, and accomplishments, TERI is implementing a program titled, #75ReelsforCelebratingIndia. The program envisages a Reel- making competition along with hosting a National Youth Forum. The program is being implemented in partnership with Ministry of Culture, Government of India, under the umbrella of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The program aims to provide a learning environment for young people while also recognizing India's distinctive culture through inspirational messages and the display of patriotism in a variety of forms. This program will act as a discussion forum for issues related to creating the India of one's dreams, maximizing India's potential, and positively influencing India's changing environment.

We are inviting youth in India who fall into the age category of 15 – 29 years to take part in the Reel-making competition. The theme of the competition is ‘One Country, Many Cultures.’ Through the repository of reels, a collection of 75 reels will be featured during the National Youth Forum that will take place in Delhi on the eve of ‘Constitution Day’ i.e. November 21, 2023. TERI SAS Admission

TERI School of Advanced Studies (SAS) is a higher education institution that was granted the Deemed-to-be-University status under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. TERI SAS has been undertaking research and environmental education initiatives to build capacity of students and youth on various themes of sustainable development, adopting an inter-disciplinary approach and incorporating the most contemporary, research-based contents into the curriculum since its founding in 1999. Being a pioneer of sustainability education in India, TERI SAS has emerged as one of the most prestigious and unique institutions in the country that aspires to contribute globally by serving society as a Centre of Advanced Studies. It trains students in different themes related to sustainability such as environmental studies, climate science and policy, renewable energy among others.

Admissions are open for Undergraduate, Integrated Postgraduate, Postgraduate, PG Diploma and weekend programmes. Admissions in PG programs is based on UG degree / CUET-PG. Admissions in UG Programs is based on 10+2 marks CLAT/ CAT/MAT scores are also accepted.

Programme LEAD (Leadership for Environment, Awareness and Development)

The Environment Education and Awareness (EEA) Division at TERI designed a summer programme that enables school students to gain knowledge, enhance their skillsets and obtain access to resources and networks to strengthen their competencies on issues related to environment and sustainable development. The intended outcomes of the programme were to nurture a cadre of environmentally conscious students who will spearhead changes at various levels (individual, peer, family and community) while concurrently accentuate skill sets and civic life, strengthening their portfolios for targeting further education opportunities.

Principals’ Forum

TERI and TERI SAS organised the Principals’ Forum on the theme ‘25 Years of Sustainability Education: Vision for 21st Century’ on Friday, 5th May 2023, from 1500 – 1630 Hrs at at TERI-SAS, 10 Institutional Area, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi- 70. The program aimed to bring together academic institutions on a common platform, to deliberate about Mission LiFE and role of schools, and inclusive practices in academic institutes. This platform was also be utilized to launch the 24th edition of TERI’s flagship initiative, GREEN Olympiad and to introduce skill-based education for young professional in Data Science and Environment programs.
