Research Associate (I/II/III)-Consultant


Job Profile

The candidate will work on a CHT (Ministry of Petroleum &
Natural Gas, Government of India) funded Project on catalytic pyrolysis, pyrolysis product upgradation and coprocessing.

The candidate must have strong research experience in heterogenous catalyst synthesis and catalytic thermochemical conversion/cracking of bio-oil. The candidate should also be capable of handling pilot high-pressure reactors and analytical equipments like GCMS, BET Analyser, TGA Analyser, FTIR etc.


Experience

2 - 3 Years


Qualification

PhD in Organic Chemistry/Chemical Engg/Energy Science & Engg. Or MSc/MTech/ME in Organic Chemistry/Chemical Engg/Energy Science & Engg. with 2-3 years of Research experience in the area of heterogeneous catalyst- biofuel (thermochemical route only)- pilot plant operation and analysis of products.
Candidates with strong catalyst background are only desired for this position.


Skills

- Organic Chemistry with catalyst synthesis research will be given the first preference.
- Proven research experience in the field of thermo-chemical conversion processes especially biomass catalytic conversion- CO2 valorization- pyrolysis- gasification- and hydrothermal conversion- with a significant contribution to R&D programs as an RA.
- LCA knowledge will be a scoring point.
- Very good technical writing skills in English is an absolute necessity.
- Able to evaluate- analyze and interpret results- identify next steps/key challenges and conduct experiments in pilot reactors.
- Excellent team spirit- communication skills- highly motivated- hard-working and high level of integrity.
