Positions for Centre for Distributed Generation (CDG)
1. Project implementation

Applications are invited for the position of project implementation. The incumbent should have 10–12 years of experience in independently handling the implementation of large-scale rural projects (preferably in the energy sector). Candidates from army background will be most suitable.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinating & monitoring of project implementation on the ground in a rural setup
Supply chain management
Handling contracts and negotiations
Capacity building initiatives for the vendors
Supervising maintenance of MIS data, including village wise database reports

Skill Set Requirements:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication
2. Good negotiation skills
3. Good planning and execution ability

 
2. Business Development
Applications are invited for the position of business development.

Job Responsibilities:

Making strategic business proposals and business plans
Making sales presentation to corporate organizations, NGOs and other funding agencies (bilateral & multilateral)
Interact, evaluate and negotiate contracts with different vendors
Follow up with corporate organizations on CSR activities
Research, generate data and compile vendor utility products
Closely work on project implementation, exchange feedback and document learning’s
Prepare reports for corporate organizations /funding agencies, future business presentations and compile case studies

Skill Set Requirements:

Master Degree in Marketing from reputed institute/university with 10 - 12 years experience

Should be a dynamic person with exceptionally good communication and analytical skills
Demonstrated client management and communication skills
Strong written and oral communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle and direct a team

Research Associate

Industrial Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Technologies (IEEST) Group, New Delhi

Education Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from reputed institutes/universities
Additional qualification Preferably certified energy auditor by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency
Experience 3-4 years in energy audits or in maintenance department in industries.

TERI has vast experience in energy efficiency and conservation in Indian industries. Major interest of TERI’s IEEST group is in improving energy efficiency in industry through various activities like energy audits, capacity building & training, technology development, deployment and dissemination and feasibility studies. The group has a range of projects from large, medium and small-scale industries. TERI is the market leader in the field of energy audits in India with more than 600 detailed energy audits carried out across industry in India and abroad. TERI professionals engaged in this activity are well experienced and the institute has all the state-of-art equipments with a high degree of accuracy for use during field measurements.

Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be required to work primarily on energy audit projects. He/she will also be required to work on other projects of research/consultancy in energy conservation as per the requirements of TERI. The incumbent will also be required to prepare project proposals independently or jointly with other research groups for submission to various funding organizations. The specific responsibilities include the following:

Interact with the funding organizations/clients effectively for generating new projects and preparing detailed proposals
Undertake field visits to measure and monitor data
Analyze the measured data and prepare the reports
Prepare and present the project findings to the client
Evaluate the projects independently
Develop and maintain relationships with clients at all levels
Identify and develop new project opportunities independently
Conduct and manage training programmes on energy management

Research Associate

Centre for Research on Sustainable Building Science, Bangalore, Mumbai

Qualifications: M Tech /MS/ Ph D in Energy & Environment Studies/Energy Systems Engineering with B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Desirable skills: Keen interest in environment issues related to buildings

In addition following skills are desired:
1) Good understanding of air-conditioning and lighting system
2) Keenness to integrate energy efficiency in built environment.
3) Good understanding to use software for performance modeling of buildings
4) Good writing skills to develop proposals and write reports.

2-3 years of relevant experience is desirable
